Scholarship from the Australian–American Fulbright Commission. Funded a 12-month research project at the University of California, Santa Barbara on the links between metamorphism and earthquakes in subduction zones.
Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Research Fellowship for International Young Scientists (2013, CN¥200k)
Research fellowship from the Chinese Government (NSFC). Supported research visits to Northeastern University, Shenyang, during the first half of 2013, on the size effect in rock mechanics and strategies for better engineering design of rock slopes. Grant number, 51250110531.
